Most Missed Memories: Everyone has memories, some are good and others...well aren't so good. List your most missed memories; they don't have to be in any specific order, just list them & give a brief description as to why they are your favorite.
1) Hanson Concerts. --> Reason: Back in 4th grade i went to my first 'real' concert with Katie & Rory. At the time we had an obsession with zac & he shot his water gun at us, which increased our egos. Also, the Hanson concert with Meg & Bre at the Nokia Theater this past October was amazing as well. Even though we made many enemies by pushing those little New Jersey teenie bopper out of the way, in order to get in the front, it was a good time. Who would have know that the youngest Hanson (who is our age) would turn out being the hottest one of all, fo serious. Haha.
2) My 13th birthday party at Shea Stadium. --> Reason: It was fun having all my [at the time] close friends there & the surprise of having "HAPPY 13TH COURTNEY" announced and displayed on the board was pretty awesome. I didn't expect it & I love little suprises like that.
3) Jamaica 2001. -->Reason: It was my first time to Jamaica & I didn't know what to expect. I just loved being in a tropical paradise & the entire trip was an adventure. Whether it was parasailing or jumping off the boulders, I didn't know what was going to happen next. It was fun being spontaneous for once in my life.
4) Hawaii trip with the Manez family, plus Long Island Braves. -->Reason: It was my first "big trip" without my family & what better way to spend your summer than in Hawaii with your best friend & some hot baseball players. It was also my first time ever on a helicopter & we also jumped off a 60FT cliff, which was pretty sweet.
5) Lake picnics. -->Reason: All throughout elementary school, once spring time rolled around the corner, my mom would take my brothers & I to this lake. It was always a nice day & we'd rollerblade all over the park/lake & then have a picnic...it was cute.
6) Sleepovers with the cousins. --> Whether it was playing barbies or having movie marathons (i.e. 'the rocking horror picture show/stephan king's it') & watched the same movie repeatedly, we always had fun. I miss those sleep overs.
7) Adventureland with the cousins. --> I remember way back in the day when I rode the "Big" blue rollercoaster for the first time. Matt made me sit in the front seat & the ride operator never fixed my strap thing, so it never closed & I was petrafied. Also, I remember Matt & Tommy jumping out on the haunted house ride & kicked the crap out of king kong, haha. And everyone thought Katie & I were twins, those were good times.
8) Shows at the Downtown. --> You'd never know who you would run into or befriend at the downtown. I miss those shows so much. I met my old lover, Jesse Lacey there numerous times & made a ton of new friends there as well. I think my favorite show of all was the first Nightmare of You show with BP4L & we befriended Orange Island & a few months later, we saw them there again & Dave (the lead singer) walked back to my house with us & we thought we were so cool. & that was the longest run-over sentence everrrr!
9) All-American Rejects Show. --> I'm not a huge fan of AAR, but their new CD is pretty catchy. I didn't have any intentions of attending this show, but the day prior to the show, my cousin Rory offered me her ticket so I can have some bonding time with Katie & Jess, since we don't really hangout anymore. So, I immediately called up Katie, Danielle, & Joanie, because I thought they were all going to the show, but Joanie didn't have a ticket. I felt horrible, so I called up everyone I know & somehow found Joanie a ticket last minute. So, we all go to the show & snuck into V.I.P, because I didn't want to stand with all the teenie boppers. I honestly didn't think the show would be very enjoyable, but it was..until Tyson dissed my cousins. So, after the show we all waited for like two hours in the back & I flipped out on Tyson for dissing my cousins & made him feel really guilty, so he offered us some cigs. I don't smoke, so I declined his generous offer, but my cousins smoked & bonded with him, mike & the rest of AAR. I still think Tyson is a freak, but he's an interesting guy to talk to, considering he gets wayy easily excited about stuff....drugs, I'm telling ya!!
10) FEB. ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE 2005. --> I met so many wonderful people on that cruise & I haven't realized how much of an impact they had on my life until just recently. I learned so much within that one week. That cruise felt like an eternity & I know I'll never forget it. I love all those people I befriened on the ship & I'm so glad we all still keep in touch. I learned so much from them & they were such a blast to hangout with. I just wish we all lived closer.
11) BTIT. --> I still can't believe I met Chris from xanga, then in person when I went to PA & three months later him & the rest of his band played at Calvary, then slept over my house. I think that's awesome, especially since none of them were rapists! I wish they all lived on the island, so we could hangout more often...Chris taught me so much about music, politics, life, etc. Brian Adams [ not the singer] was also pretty cool to hangout with, he's the big brother I've never had. I think it's amazing how you can meet someone once & they can change your life...that goes the same for my cruise buds.
12) Blimpie dates & 7/11 adventures. --> Since my house is practically 5 minutes from anywhere, my neighbors & I would often take trips into town & 7/11. I know it doesn't sound like anything cool, but trust me...it was.
13) P. AVENUE GAMES! --> Back in the day, my block used to be pretty awesome. All the neighborhood kids would play outside until midnight (which was really late back then) & get together to play games such as MONGO BAT, running bases, pink man, 4 squares, knock out, sardins, Power Rangers!!, hide-N-Seek (in the thomas' tree, which we would get yelled at for doing)..you name it, we've played it. We also used to have awesome block parties & hardcore water balloon/ water gun fights. I miss those, too bad people had to go to college & whatnot. Kian, Megan, Roseann & I would also build forts, have picnics, play babydolls/house, & of course, spy on the 'cutie next door.' One time, we hid behind a bush in front of his house & like most boys, he didn't close the door & we witnessed him peeing & that became the main topic of our conversations for months. I think I was probably the only girl on the block who wasn't infatuated with him.
...This list could go on & on, trust me. But this is enough for now.
